| - For the past year, I've been keeping up on my bleached-white hair by touching up my own roots (hey, if you're poor, you do what you can do)...employing the help of others to adequately slather the back of my head with bleach. As you might imagine, this has led to random patches of orange-y hair...and it had escalated to the point that I knew I needed professional help.
I called Salon Tru after doing some online research, and attempted to convey the sad state of my hair in the most optimistic light possible as I made an appointment with Rachel. Considering I was being seen at a critically-acclaimed salon, I figured my story would be amusing, in the least.
I've been a client of many higher-end salons, and Rachel is hands-down the most talented and thorough stylist I've worked with. I'm accustomed to the pulling, discomfort, and itchiness that has always come with a professional bleach session. Rachel basically eliminated all of the unpleasantness I'm used to, save for the slightest itchiness. This may sound bizarre, but the way she handled my hair and took her time made me feel like a canvas for an artist. And I really appreciated not feeling like I was being rushed out the door (bleach appointments take a loooong time) for the next client, which has been my experience in the past.
In the week since my appointment, I've been complimented left and right on my hair. People have even asked me if it's natural! I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Rachel and Salon Tru. Looking forward to my touch-up!
