| - Ate here for the first time about 10 days ago, on a Saturday morning around 9am. We had to wait about 30-40 mins. Holy smokes! What a meal!
Menu - very limited! Like 7 items for breakfast. I was dubious...
Coffee - A+ - locally roasted by the Roastery of Cavecreek. Fantastic! What a surprise and a delight!
Toast - A+ - artisan bread, very thick, with real butter. We got the whole grain. Amazing!j Oh - with homemade fresh preserves.
Hashbrowns - A+ - holy smokes, I don't know how they managed to take something so mundane and make it terrific. Crispy, crunchy outside, softer on the inside without becoming mushy (retaining texture) and flavorful to boot!
Eggs - A - I can't really evaluate the eggs too much, because I put 'em on top of the hashbrowns and diced 'em up.
Service - B+ - Service was great - until the end when our guy left the check and dropped us like a hot potato. I wanted more coffee. They were SUPER busy, and scurrying all over. I'll give them a B+ overall on service. We even had an older guy check in on us to make sure everything was alright - like a manger or owner? But ya gotta finish strong, too.
Paid our bill, and was able to get a small "to go" cup from the cashier. That coffee was so delicious!
In the end, it was absolutely amazing to me that such simple familiar fare could be so outstandingly better than typical. It really was quite a surprise. I love breakfast at restaurants - probably my favorite meal of the day. I SO MUCH WISH this place was closer to where I live. This is what all restaurants aspire to be.
