| - Don't knock it 'till you try it. I don't frequent Dollar Stores, but I will if it's 99 cents! The strange thing about this place is that although everything is clearly marked 99 cents (or less), when you check out everything is rounded up a penny - so it really is a dollar store... marketing scheme to get my business? Yes! But it works.
This location is always clean and organized, considering the type of store it is anyway. There are usually long lines at the check out, but the staff is always friendly and they seem to be efficient at moving people through quickly. There are a lot of things I personally won't buy from a 99 cent store (toiletries, most food, cleaning products, etc.) But there are many things this store is great for such as gift bags, party decorations, and kitchen utensils.
This past Easter I purchased all of my Easter supplies here:
Baskets
Grass
Plastic eggs in various sizes
and even some of the Easter candy
In the last few weeks I've spent a total of about $20 here, which may not sound like much but here is some of what it bought me:
Kitchen broom
Garbage can for my office
Measuring cups and spoons
Several gift bags and tissue paper (an awesome selection here)
Greeting card
Butterfingers candy bars
and my special find this week... clear double insulated drinking cups with mustaches on them!
What I love best about this store? The fact that I can go there as often as I want and it won't break the bank. Call me cheap, call me thrifty or just check it out and thank me later...
