I needed to have a new key cut for my Xterra so I stopped by today with the broken one and a blank one I had gotten off eBay. The keys have chips in them so they have to be programmed. I walked into the service dept and was greeted after a minute or so. By greeted I mean, "Hey, what can we do for you?" being shouted by a young guy, with his feet on a desk, eating ice cream. I couldn't help but laugh as I explained what I needed. He walked me to an office with 2 guys and I kid you not...one of them was eating an ice cream cone with his feet up on the desk. I guess they really like ice cream here. He got up and left but the other guy, unbelievably slouched in his chair, introduced himself. I explained what I needed and he told me that I had to run the key thru service and it would be $115. It was one of the most bizarre moments of my life. Needless to say, I walked out. No key for me. No ice cream. No chance of ever going back.
