  • I decided to use Red Beard Inspections based on the positive feedback from previous customers. After receiving his extremely thorough report, I agree with all of the reviews. We are purchasing a 16-year- old home and wanted a detailed inspection and that is exactly what he did. Jed, the owner/inspector was at the residence for 4 and half hours. He used a GoPro to take video of the inspection and then went through it afterward to write his detailed report. The report breaks everything down by categories of Safety (poses a safety hazard), Repair/Replace (recommend repairing or replacing), Repair/Maintain (recommend repair and/or maintenance), Minor Defect (correction likely involves only a minor expense), Maintain (recommend ongoing maintenance), Evaluate (recommend evaluation by a specialist) and Comment (for your information). There were a few things he wanted to follow-up on at the residence and scheduled a re-inspection the same week (no added cost to us). He e-mailed the detailed report (24 pages long), along with a summary (4 pages) within 24 hours. I feel the inspection process is one of the most important factors when buying a house and I would definitely use Red Beard Inspections again, if needed.
