| - This was the first casino I went to when I turned of age. At first I thought it was amazing and the best place in the world but, as I got older and went to other casinos I realized that it's really not that great.
I'll start with the major problem I've had with this casino, and why I most likely will not return to this casino because, of it. My cousin and I don't have a ton of cash, but we were on vacation and wanted to do something fun so we went to the casino. In Montreal, you have one option for a casino which, I think is crazy. It's unfortunate that this is your ONLY option. My cousin and I were sitting at a slot machine, playing when a server came up to us. Keep in mind we did not call him over, he came up to us. He asked my cousin if she wanted something to drink and she asked what the cheapest beer was because, she had already spent a decent amount of money especially on drinks and this casino that night. She ordered a Bud Light and then went to the bathroom. I waited at the machine, for the server and he came back. He took a little while but, whatever. I should also mention that he was never very friendly from the start. He was very "give me your all your money". When he came back he just said "$4.00". I thought my cousin would be back by now and she wasn't so I had to dig around in my tiny little change purse for coins. I handed him four loonies, he placed them on his tray and held out his hand again. And then he said "service is not included". Now, keep in mind - he came up to us, and he was not at all friendly. Not to mention, we were very close to the bar and all he had to do was go to the bartender, get him to pour the glass of beer and then bring it over to us. I was waitress for years and sometimes I worked my butt off providing amazing service only to get nothing, I never once harassed anyone for a tip. So I told him "You came over to us though, we didn't ask you to come over to us." He then had the nerve to say "IT DOESN'T MATTER, SERVICE IS NOT INCLUDED. YOU HAVE TO TIP." At this point I was scared and pissed off. I'm 20 years old, not very big, all by myself and I have this big scary guy towering over me harassing me for MY money that he isn't even entitled to or do anything to EARN. I finally handed him $1.00, which I now regret. That kind of RUDE behaviour should not be rewarded. I'd like to point out too, that I'm not cheap. I actually tip extremely well, WHEN the server works for it. I was a server myself so I have high expectations. This server was extremely RUDE and for that reason, I will not come back to this casino.
The slots themselves are okay. Would be nice if they were better organized. It's all just jumbled up everywhere. Lots of broken machines too. Lots that malfunction.
No free alcoholic drinks. The only drinks available for free are shi*ty Foldgers coffee, juice and pop. The cups are also extremely small, maybe 6oz.
Lots of old people, the dance floor is just sad. And the bars are as well.
Just avoid this casino, it's one of the worst ones I've been to. Cutting up my "loyalty" card. What a joke, didn't even get anything on my birthday!
