| - So these rolled ice cream places are popping up in every town I visit. Vegas has had Ice Pan in Harrah's which closed and while they didn't roll their ice cream, it was still made in the same fashion.
Ok, so this was a visit on a random Monday afternoon. There were customers inside, but we had no wait as they had plenty of employees ready and eager to help. Service was great. The guy making our ice cream was super nice as was the girl that rang us up.
I had the house creation Potato Chip, which was basically their base house cream with potato chips mixed in, and topped with a few. The kiddo had the strawberry nutella, which also used their house cream. All in all, the flavors were good. Their house cream, which is basically a sweet cream, is a perfect base for any mix in. Potato chips and cream may sound weird to some, but it's that perfect blend of sweet and salty. The strawberry nutella was also tasty and had just the right amount of both mix ins.
My big issue was the consistency. This rolled ice cream was entirely way to crumbly, and not creamy at all. They serve the rolls in a cup that's just too small, with them standing upright, far above the rim of the bowl. Not sure if it was the weather or the temperature of the pan, but as soon as you try to get a spoonful, the roll would break apart and fall out of the cup. I know it may seem like a small detail, but honestly, if you have to wait for the rolls to melt a little, or end up with most of it in your lap, that's a big fail.
