| - I'll be honest, I was really nervous about staying at an older hotel for our last night in Vegas (especially one that we've never heard of). Thankfully Sam's Town is a sister hotel/casino to one that we've stayed at before (Gold Coast).
Once you get inside, the casino and attractions offered are pretty nice!! Although they are WAY off strip, they have a lot to offer. There are a lot of dining options, shops, a movie theater, scenic places to take photos, and even a light show several times a day!!
Surprisingly, the light show was pretty entertaining and a little over 10 minutes for all to enjoy. We ended up catching the last showing at 10pm (the laser light show).
The garden area in the center of the casino is a very nice place to relax, get away from the gambling, and even just to get away from cigarette smoke. There are plenty of places to take photos (waterfall, with the fake moving animals, and the real plants and trees).
The town feel is pretty amazing on the outside, as well as on the inside (you can see the town buildings in the garden and even on the elevator ride up to your room). Some rooms even face the garden, which is great for kids to watch the light shows at night!
Two of the best surprises that we loved was that they had a 24/7 Dunkin Donuts shop and upon check-in we received a coupon book full if discounts for the shops and restaurants!!
