| - I'm surprised at the negative reviews below and the small number of them given how popular these classes are - in my opinion the negative reviewers might not be the types of people who are well suited to a bootcamp-style class (or perhaps they aren't interested in pushing themselves) hence the negative opinions. I've only been with Fit Factory for 3-4 months and I certainly worked out before, but I have noticed a tremendous difference in my stamina and endurance - not to mention my clothes are fitting better than ever. This is an awesome change of pace (even for a month) if like me, you're sick of the gym or if you want a new challenge.
Tony, Geoff and Roshanda, the 3 instructors, each have very different teaching styles and you may prefer one to the others, but you'll get amazing results from all three. The key is, if you're willing to put in the effort, you will have fun and see results. Don't come to a bootcamp complaining you don't "like" to run, or you "don't do pushups" or any other excuses. The instructors (especially Roshanda, who is extremely motivating and encouraging) know you are able to do it, so they will push you. After all, that's why you're paying them a fair amount of money. I got the sense that they are proud of each of their patrons and genuinely want us to succeed.
Note that if it's nice outside, 99% of the time you'll go outdoors to nearby parks. You're going to get dirty and muddy. But if you want to be clean and go out for drinks after a workout, you should probably be at Goodlife.
FFF loses a star for the facilities. They need a water fountain, lockers (currently you must trust your jewellery/wallets will be safe in their cubbies) and to resolve their bathroom situation. The lineups for 3 moderately clean bathrooms-slash-change rooms are a major downfall of this otherwise awesome business and facility.
Reserving spots in the classes is very easy on their website and each class typically has 40-50 people.
I'm a huge fan and will really miss this place when I move out of Toronto shortly but I'll keep it up!
