After dining here for almost a year now, I must say this place is pretty great!
The service is always quick and courteous here. The people may not be the most sociable even after coming here so often, but they've never been anything but polite.
The food is pretty tasty. The maki is indeed on the big side. I find I often leave here pretty satisfied with the portions. They don't serve many different types of raw fish, but the rolls are well done.
The best feature of this restaurant is the price, though! You get a lot for what you pay for, especially at lunch! I definitely recommend the lunch specials - you can get 2 rolls, soup, and salad for well under 10$!
I also like that they use yellow (aka un-dyed) pickled ginger. Wasabi is also on the strong side.
