I love to go out as much as possible! Unfortunately, this is not a hike for dogs or kids. I only go during the spring or fall, as you should know this trail is closed during the summer. It is not an easy trail, there are ropes and jumping included, where many times you may need help climbing up or down. It has changed quite a bit over the years but the hot springs are definitely worth the hike. If you reach the Colorado River, (which should be a must) the cold water is so refreshing and it is absolutely amazing. This hike is definitely recommended for mid-age and those who are fit. I would never take my mom here as she wouldn't make it, nor anyone else who may have trouble getting around.
