  • Honestly if I could give this company a negative five I would. First off upon me reviewing this property and making my final decision I ask regarding utilities. What is the renter responsible for. Maybe the realtor was certain because he tells me electricity, cable and what ever other bills I use. A month after getting my monthly rent reminder I see the rental company charges me $125 plus for gas, water & sewage. After reviewing that I call the rental company and advised before moving in I asked the realtor what the renter is responsible for and feel like I shouldn't be charged the $125 compromised fee. I went and got the gas and water in my name. The next month I'm charged for electricity and another $125 fee. I should have known then I'm going to regret this move. When I moved in to do my work through their was many of things I had to point out to the company just so I'm not responsible when I move out like the big hole in the garage. I was also told within the same week I'll have someone come and cut the high grass and bushes at the house which never happened. When I received my first gas bill not including the deposit my bill was over $500. I called piedmont due to the extremely high bill asking them to send someone out. Once I received a letter stating the bill is accurate I placed a service request to check the furnace. Gloria called me 3 days later telling me that's my responsibility to check the filters and all this other bs. I made numerous calls requesting the furnace to be checked and still I got nothing. In December my heat wasn't working I placed a service request and didn't get a call from Gloria until four days later. The following month I get my gas bill and again not including the deposit this time it's over $600 dollars. Again no one has come to check my furnace and I sent two emails one to corporate and the other to the local Charlotte office. This company doesn't care about their residents at all. After numerous emails and high gas bills upon other things. Trust I can go on and on about this company. I'm chosen to break my lease because I can't keep paying this high gas bill and rent especially when their not trying to assist with this issue. If I would've known about this rental company and their bad work ethics and communication I would've known rented from this company.
