  • I won't bore you with all the details, but my dog was sick and it took three days and an overnight stay until x-rays finally found a growing abdominal cyst causing pain and serious infection. it would have been fatal. I came in and talked to the doc she told me my pup would be prepped and in surgery with two docs in 45 mins. They called after to procedure to let me know what happened etc. same early next day. They said I could call middle of the night if I wanted to check in. I chose AHS when I moved here because I wanted all my dogs records at this 24/7 facility. 24 hrs after surgery she was home and has thrived ever since. We have lots of vets in the Cave Creek area. But really, if your local hospital closed at 5 and on weekends would feel comfortable? Do it for your dog who will do something at 10pm like my other one did recently. peace of mind. And here is a tip...rescue dogs are examined by a vet prior to adoption. But most have lived rough lives with little or no medical attention Do two things immediately. Get pet insurance immediately and get a checkup at AHS.....ADOPT!
