From all the pictures, and even in person, these donuts look like the best things get. Which is why I woke up early to get some before my morning commute. The store opened at 7am and I got there around 7:10.
I was overjoyed to see that they had the Maple Bacon donut in that morning's selection. My boyfriend decided to go with the Caramel Cinnamon Sugar. But the experience went a bit downhill after that.
The price for two donuts was almost $8. I guess that isn't terrible considering the size of these gourmet donuts. However, at nearly $4 a pop these things should be noteworthy.
The both of the donuts were pretty tasty, however they were not warm at all. They were indeed soft and fluffy, but that's about it. In my opinion, a donut that size with that much dough is best served with a bit of heat to it and not the same temperature as the tiny donuts at Dunkins.
Overall, the donuts were good but I don't anticipate ever going out of my way to go there.
