| - I visited Ed's this weekend for my first (of what is sure to be many) ice cream treats of the season.
Man, Ed's got BUSY. Granted, I don't think I've ever visited Ed's and been the only customer in the store, but it was late on Saturday and the line was out the door. First timers, PLEASE don't be intimidated by this. The staff works fast, and if you have an idea what you want, you won't hold up the line. Actually, I have to commend the staff on their smiles and friendly attitudes despite dealing with an obviously crazy busy day.
I got my usual (burnt marshmallow ice cream with hot caramel topping). A regular scoop (in a cup or cone) costs $4.00. The caramel topping was an additional $0.80, but was well worth it. I'm not sure the caramel would work with all their flavours, but it perfectly compliments the burnt marshmallow. Each bite was heaven. I should have savoured it, but I comfortably devoured it within seconds of it being handed to me.
If you're on the east end and need a cool snack, skip the Frappuccino (you can have one of those any day of the week) and head straight to Ed's for amazing ice cream, friendly faces, and a taste that will leave you craving more.
