  • I really wanted to like it, well positioned on the water. The place is sleek; definitely and its clientèle was older and fancier dressed than compared to Noble Beast, Brick n Barrel, orMasthead. Naturally, a little more pricier (drafts $5-6, a sampler of 4 for $10) than those institutions but you're paying for the gorgeous river view (note there's no shade out there), I get it. I walked in on a weekday afternoon around 5:30 the front host was friendly and promptly seated me. I sat on the patio, the server came by and had taken my order of a sampler of 4 beers, and the bar back instantly filled a water glass. Then I waited..... The patio was at perhaps 60-70% full and I saw the servers were continuously moving but they were clearly understaffed. I waited for 11 minutes for my beer. My friend joined me and I immediately got the attention of the bar back and asked him to bring the server to stop. We waited another 10 minutes without a visit. Both hungry and thirsty, decided to cut our losses and go to Brewhead down the street. I might make a journey back but with so many breweries cropping up, Bruell JR needs to with mediocre service.
