| - We went to Tryst for the first time for the Arizona Breakfast Weekend. I ended up ordering off of that menu, but my family ordered off of the regular menu. I had the sweet potato pancake topped with turkey sausage, bacon and a fried egg. It was good, the pancake was huge and had a pumpkin spice flavor. It was on the sweet side, so the sausage, bacon and egg on top were a nice savory counterpoint. The best part of the Breakfast Weekend menu was the bottomless sangria that came with it! There were of course other non-alcoholic drink options to choose from, but the sangria was really good, nice fresh berries on top too. I had an iced almond milk latte as well, so I was double fisting with the wine and coffee, but it worked!
The kid's menu is a good deal, for the pancakes, there were 3 good sized pancakes and fruit.
My husband had the Hawaiian bowl and he really liked it. It had kalua pork over rice with a fried egg!
Tryst Cafe is a smaller restaurant and they were very busy the morning we went. The waiter was nice and efficient, but a little harried. Overall I liked the restaurant and would go back. Their menu has a healthy focus and there were lots of items I would like to try in the future.
