Ok suffice to say we were really nervous reserving this hotel. Been reading the reviews for over couple months and can not understand why it was so mixed. Some raved about it while others hated it. We were so worried about getting a crappy room bc we were checking in really late bc of the far drive. We were worried about having our car broken into bc we read that that happened here. We worried about that corner store someone said was shady but mostly about getting an old dirty room with no hot water or water at all! Plus even the fear of someone stealing stuff. Yes all that was in the reviews!
But thank God that was all unfounded. We got here late n yes there was that store but it wasn't that bad then. Yes there were some loud maybe drunk patrons by the parking lot but they didn't bother us. We checked in and got our room. The fountain wasn't dangerous or beautiful or large lol yes the whole hotel seemed a bit hot in the lobby but once we got into our room we liked it. Everything was there, seemed clean, not old or dirty or broken. There was a red stain on our carpet so not sure if that was kool aid or blood or make-up but that's it :'/
WiFi was spotty and very slow. Pool was kinda oily n dirty but that's ok, didn't plan on going in. Elevators were fast for such a big hotel.
The only huge weird thing about our stay was that we found a man's dress shoes under our bed. So we knew the housekeeping doesn't really clean down there. But that's ok. Way better than a condom we found in another nice reputable hotel :) We told the reception desk n they said to leave it by our door and we did the next day it was gone lol
Um, the breakfasts were good. They got busy n omelette line was long but it moved and was fine. Oh one kinda bothersome thing was every morning while we were at breakfast there was a waiter that really seemed upset to be here. He practically told everyone who would listen how overworked he was and how much bussing he had to do, sighing and grunting as he cleaned the tables, saying Embassy won't hire anyone else so he had to do it all. It got really uncomfortable and old quick. He wasn't mean just very unprofessional so please hire more help for him or at least curb this. There was an Asian waiter that busted his butt getting oatmeal and doing everything else back there n he was cheerful about it. So props to that nice Asian elderly man! So yes that was a weird sight every morning. Tried to avoid him and had pity at the same time.
All in all it wasn't bad. We had a nice view of the Wynn. Smoke free. Lots of families, huge hotel. Wasn't all glitz and glamour but served it's purpose. Easy access to strip n hwy. Convenient location. Nice a.c. rooms, clean n maids restocked. Nothing much we can ask for for a few days in Vegas with youngsters. Comfty beds. Restful nights n not too crazy loud. Glad it wasn't as some bad reviews :)
