first of all, i'm not too familiar with Indian cuisine so take my review with a grain of salt... or a grain of curry powder? Haha...
you had to order and pay before sitting down... which isn't my thing but whatever... no biggie. they had an Indian Movie on which the employees seemed to be enjoying. Ballywood baby!!! Neway, on to the food.
So I got one of the lunch combos... I think it had:
*curry with tofu (tasted like a tomato base, i liked it ok)
*a rice dish with green beans (was kinda weird texture but good flavor)
*another rice dish with potato (this one i liked the best, spices were nice)
*2 broth-y soups (one was very spicy with not much else goin on, the other was good, not sure what the heck was in it though)
*some kind of porridge dessert that was...meh. tasted like really sweet cream of wheat with cream. but it was cold and very gelatinous. not my cup of tea.... and speaking of tea...
i also ordered a hot tea... but I should have asked what it was like cuz both Monty and I thought it was horrible. it tasted like dirt. no i don't eat dirt... but what i would imagine dirt would taste like with a few spices added and hot water. eew.
three stars cuz its wasn't horrible over-all, but i prolly wouldn't go back.
i wish i liked it better... but even Monty, who loves Indian food said he's had way better... so he's on a mission to introduce me to better stuff!
