So cheap and delicious - their bread is always so fluffy and mild flavored. They have really cheap buns (cheaper than the other bakery down the street) - mix and match certain varieties for 3 for $1.
You walk in, and if you want the buns in the plastic containers against the wall, you grab a tray and a pair of tongs to pick out buns. When you're done loading up your tray you bring your selections to the front to pay. Unfortunately this place doesn't have the gorgeous mousses, cakes, tarts and other little fun desserts that a lot of other bakeries have. They do have some sweets pre packaged at the front.
You definitely notice that they're cutting costs - especially compared to Ding Dong bakery which is a little further down Spadina and sells buns for 3 for $2. When I get filled buns, there's a lot more bread and a lot less filling at Mashion compared to Ding Dong. It's super noticeable in the hot dog buns - Mashion gives you a bun with a hot dog cut in half, while Ding Dong gives you an entire wiener in the bun.
Overall - awesome place for super cheap eats.
