We brought our pet hamster here. The little guy just kinda stop running around and this was just within last night. Dr. Wolf saw him and diagnosed that his heart was failing. So so sad for my little girl, this was her first pet and watching him passing away is not easy. We were at the vet at 1:00 p.m., it's now only 2:30 p.m. and the little guy has completely stopped moving and we know he's taking his last breaths. The doctor was very caring and explained her diagnosis to us and explaining there's nothing really we can do for our hamster. These little pets can go from being well and spunky to this dying state very quickly. My daughter is just holding him in her hands and stroking him as tears are dropping down her face...so sad to watch. Explained to her that all lives will eventually come to an end and that we are responsible for them while they are alive. Prepared a box for his burial, just waiting for him to take his final breath before he goes to heaven to be with God.
The vet visit was $49.50 for consultation...just thought other parents might want to know. The office staff and the doctor were all very nice and kind. Our pet's name (poopy) was written on the white board "Welcome Poopy" in the examination room before we went in... Nice touch but unfortunately it's "Goodbye Poopy".
Poopy finally passed at 3:19 p.m. October 1st 2015. Be with God and RIP.
