| - This is a great place to go if you are a bowler or are interested in becoming one. While it's much smaller now that it's located in AMF Christown Lanes at 19th Avenue & Bethany Home rather than it's previous location over at 27th Avenue, the service and selection is still excellent and the best part is that these guys really know what they are doing. I used to go to the previous location years ago when I bowled in a league and the other day I stopped in to get the finger holes on my ball expanded. While waiting, I listened to the guy help a lady to pick out the right ball and shoes for her son and herself and also listened as he explained the differences in various balls to a couple of guys and learned a little myself about the different types of materials, how they curve, and the difference between the traditional style grip that I use and the fingertip style, with inserts, that is popular with a lot of people. When he got to me, I told him what I needed, he had me hold my ball and then he took it and in less than five minutes he had drilled the holes bigger, buffed them, vacuumed out any dust, and made sure it fit my hand. When I asked how much he owed, he told me I didn't owe anything.
Now I'm not a big bowler, but that's the type of service that means that if I need something else, I won't be going to one of the big box sporting goods stores or ordering it online. Instead I'll head over to Bowling Dynamics and spend my money there.
