We had absolutely the worse experience at the emergency room in this hospital today. We arrive at the hospital about 6 am with our sick 3 year old toddler in tow and we don't get called in until about 7 am. I ask how long the wait is and they said they don't know but they have 2 other patients. Not sure what took so long for us to get called back given that information. The doctor finally sees my daughter after waiting for him for about 15 minutes. He checks her heart beat, kinda looks inside her mouth and checks her ears. Takes a look at her skin to see the rashes all over her body and says she has an allergic reaction. He proceeds to tell us the allergic reaction just has to run its course until it passes but just for us to proceed to give her Benadryl and for her fever to give her Motrin or Tylenol to make her feel comfortable. He thinks it might be a UTI so we have to get her tested for that. They gave my daughter ibuprofen with zofran for her current fever she was having and test her urine which took another 45 minutes to wait for the results. We wait 45 minutes and I step out to see if they received the results. The nurse sees me and that's when she checks to see if it came back positive. The test comes back negative with no UTI or any other infection. We check out and my husband and I are completing unhappy with the results so we decide to go see her pediatrician and low and behold he swabs her mouth and come to find out she had strep throat. Our pediatrician prescribes antibiotics. The antibiotics had to work it's course but her strep set into her joints which caused her arthritis pain in her joints she was in so much pain. If we would've went home without stopping by our pediatrician I guarantee that my daughter would've been in a lot worse shape. I don't even want to imagine how worse it could've been. I really hope that the so called doctor that night loses his license before he might potentially risk another child's health or worst of all a child's life. I would give this place a negative zero stars if I could.
