A friend was visiting from out of town and she wanted to visit the NoDa area. We went on the last day she was in town, which I did not realize majority of NoDa was pretty much a ghost town on a Monday afternoon. We found Boudreaux's by chance and decided to stop in. The food hit the spot for a southern girl.
I had the bourbon fried chicken Meat&Three option -the sauce was perfect and full of flavor. The Charleston cheddar grits hit the spot. And the collard greens were also bursting with flavor. The only complaint: the corn bread was a bit dry and not served with any butter.
The service was great, attentive - should've been anyhow considering there were only 2 other tables. Our drinks never went dry. We left full and satisfied. Definitely worth the trip back to the NoDa area to try a few more dishes.
