Stopped in recently for a few items, including shredded pepper jack cheese. Not to be found! We ask an employee who says this is the value Frys or as he put it the "cheap-a$$ Frys" which doesn't carry the same selection as a regular Frys store. He directed us to where we could find one off brand of cheese sold in a block.
Here's the issue: companies like Kroger don't invest in declining neighborhoods, give up and downgrade their stores. How about investing a bit, showing some pride in the area, and help improve the image of the area? It doesn't have to be fancy and gourmet, like the beautiful Frys store near 20th and Camelback, but wow obviously we know what they think of the area by the look and feel of this store. Disposable!
Worst of all, it's along busy Peoria Avenue with perhaps thousands of non neighborhood residents passing by each day who would stop in if the store was more appealing and inviting and spend money here.
What a shame they have to define the classes of society instead of treating everyone equally.
