  • In a letter I got as a patient of Dr. Simmons-Boyd dated Apr. 10, 2013, Dr. Simmons-Boyd is "turning over operations of my Charlotte practice to Dr. Herbert Vu." The receptionists were exceptionally polite and welcoming and the dental assistants and hygienists were first rate. I'll probably continue as a patient, although I'm hoping to see some reviews of Dr. Vu first before entrusting my molars to him. The letter listed Dr. Vu's education and training but didn't say whether he had actually practiced as an independent dentist previously. For expensive work like crowns, Dr. Simmons-Boyd required at least 50% payment upfront WHEN YOU MADE THE APPOINTMENT TO START THE WORK. Note, not on the day the work began but simultaneously with making the appointment to start the work, even though the work might not start for three weeks or more. The practice's new name is Myers Park Dental.
