Solid 3.5 stars but the owner's friendly personality and great work ethic easily push this into 4 star territory for me.
We got the adobada torta and the carnitas burrito. The torta was great, and the bread was nice and toasty as mentioned many times here. The meat was very tender, and the green secret sauce oozed out the bottom. Only thing missing was some avocado.
The Burrito also had very tender meat, and the tortilla was the chewy kind that I love. It was a bit on the greasy side though (lots of cheese), and I wish it had some kind of texture contrast such as some crunch of lettuce or something. (Just beginning to think I'm not that into burritos.)
He offers three types of salsas. I think at least one should be more hot though. Like I said, Phrank is a hard working guy and really takes pride in his restaurant. He takes out the issue of LV Weekly that he was featured in a few months back and shows it to pretty much everyone that comes in. If I got in the Weekly I would too! :)
Other popular dishes that I will try next time include the chile verde burrito (featured in the Weekly) and the fish tacos.
FYI, they are located in the small plaza behind the Am/Pm. Turn in like you're going to Am/Pm and you'll see them there. It's a little hard to see the signage from the street until after you pass it.
