I visited this rescue to see a dog that was on their website and facebook page. I should have called prior to going as the dog I wanted to see had been adopted (not sure how long ago she had been taken).
I did meet another dog, and although he was a low shedder (something my household requires due to allergies) and a very sweet dog, he was obviously a one person dog and unfortunately would not have been a good fit with my family as I have another smaller dog at home. When I told the woman working that I would discuss it with my husband, she immediately became rude and basically just wanted me to leave.
I can appreciate what this rescue does to help animals, but they need to understand that most people can't just adopt a dog right after meeting it. They should realize that a dog is a commitment for the rest of that dog's life; it shouldn't be taken lightly.
