I really should have yelped this place before booking. It was a last minute decision to head to Vegas for the weekend.. Not realizing there was a fight I noticed it would have cost me a lot to stay on the strip. Plus I had my dog with me so I really was trying to get a better deal since it was a quick get away. I'd stayed at a red roof inn in orange county a few years back when looking at houses before my move to socal and had no complaints about where I stayed prior. Given that red roof doesn't charge for pets to stay it was a really good deal to stay just for a night or two.
Getting in I was actually impressed. My room came with a small kitchen (microwave. Stove. Sink. Fridge.) Which was great considering I actually needed a fridge to keep stuff cold during my stay. Overall my room was pretty clean until after my shower I spotted a HUGE cockroach run around near the bathroom area. Totally freaked me out at how unclean the hotel room was. Promised myself I wouldn't stay here again regardless of the pros of the room.
Next morning when I headed outside to get ice. On the way back to the room I saw a cockroach 3x bigger and longer then the one I had seen in my hotel room the night before. Honestly I didn't end up staying that night. My stuff was already packed up but I did spend the day in Vegas so it was a good place to leave my dog at for the time being before I headed back.
If you don't care about roaches then its not a bad place to stay. But otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. Totally grossed me out and after opening up yelp to see reviews... God I truely should have yelped before booking :(. Not all Red Roof Inns are as clean as you would hope it to bem
