| - I recently flew WestJet and purchased seats in the "Plus" section which gives you a bit more space between the seat in front of you, but the same space as the seat next to you. Plus also gets you a food item, an alcoholic beverage, and earlier boarding. If you sit in the front bulkhead row, you get much more leg room.
I do not recommend anyone pay for the Plus section unless they get the bulkhead seats.
I do not get why people rave about this airline. I prefer Air Canada, Porter, and Sunwing. The flight attendants were incredibly slow in moving the beverage cart. Perhaps they are not used to customers who want to buy stuff.
The little TV screens in the seat kept shutting down, they are not touch screen, and the movies play on loop, so you have no choice when they start or end. The flight attendants did not know how to reset the TV screens.
I'm posting here because the flight (whether you opted for plus or regular) was not cheap - about the same as Air Canada on my route. Also, since Plus is new, as someone who has flown economy and business class on many airlines, I thought I'd share my view of this new "Premium Economy."
