| - I absolutely adore the I Hotel.
I come to CU every few months, and I usually hop around to a different airbnb each time. I like having a little extra room, a kitchen, etc. Well on my most recent trip, my rental was a complete bust. I was a bit stranded since it was a busy weekend in the city, and many places were totally booked. I called the I Hotel, and they were lifesavers.
The staff here are the best. Seriously, they get 5 stars without even diving into the rest of the experience. Every single person was incredibly gracious and kind, and they helped me navigate so many different obstacles. No matter how many dumb questions I asked them, the staff always happily helped. It was clear their top priority was taking care of me. And on top of that, it wasn't syrupy sweet, kiss-ass service -- just genuinely nice people wanting to make sure I had a great experience. This is what hospitality is all about.
What I typically don't like about staying in hotels is that you're cramped in a little room, and the shared spaces tend to be awkward and unusable. Not the case at the I. Not only was my room beautiful, clean, and spacious -- the shared spaces were perfect for hanging out. I spent a lot of time downstairs with my laptop working, and the area was very conducive to getting stuff done -- lots of nooks and crannies for privacy and loads of big windows for sunlight.
On top of a perfect experience, the room rate was fantastic! I likely won't ever stay anywhere else again in CU.
