  • I made the plunge to come here after reading so many yelpers give thsi place 5 stars. Well, I give it only three. As a Phoenix native (45 years old) I have eaten my share of red/green chile burritos. The ones at Rtio's are good, but not so exceptional to take the reins of best. And, at $8 for a red chile burro enchilada style, it isn't so good to compensate for the cost. I consider this kind of Mexican food peasant food, that is food that is inexpensive, that the poor could afford and enjoy. $8 ain't it. Look to Carolina's for a better value in this regard. Does anybody remember La Tortillaria run by AZ foods on Washington? That was a good burrito. Rito's is good, not exceptional. Rito's is expensive. I wouldn't recommend this place over any other standard red or green chile joint nor would I discourage it. Just be aware you will pay a pretty good sum for something that tastes good, but is priced a little too high. Final note: Red and green chile is a very simple dish to make at home, and is very, very inexpensive. A restarurant that charges more than $3 bucks is making a huge amount of profit on their dishes.
