  • This SECU has no drive-through banking!!! While I have been pleased with my experiences banking with SECU, I am pretty shocked that a branch of this size has two drive up ATMs but no tellers. Once you go inside there are several tellers...usually at least three and room for up to eight. The building looks like your typical eighties era bank with a ugly, blocky exterior. All the basic banking is done downstairs, and any special banking needs have to be taken care of upstairs. There is elevator and stair access. This bank is conveniently located near Uptown Charlotte, Dilworth, Midtown, and Elizabeth. As a result, it can get rather busy on Friday afternoons. Because of the capacity, however, I have never waited more than three minutes for a teller. And with banks, convenience, not aesthetics, is what matters.
