They sell women parts and services they don't need. I needed a $10-20 tire valve stem replaced and they wanted to replace the entire stem as well as the TPMS sensor on the tire, which costs over $100. The manager told me what I needed before he even saw the car.
The mechanic came in and mentioned that only the stem needed to be replaced and the front desk/ manager, who hadn't seen the car, insisted it was the entire sensor.
If my hadn't been raised on the jack, I would have left.
It's disappointing that women can't expect quality, professional opinions or advice based just on they way they look. This isn't the first mechanic or car service chain that has been disrespectful and taken advantage of me based on gender and looks.
