Terrible. The staff was nice enough but my manicure is probably the worst I've ever had. I came in for a gel manicure and had gel on my nails. The tech began the soaking off process but then grabbed two grocery bags (which looked like they'd been used before), placed my hands in the bags, then put my hands in heating pads. I have never had that process done anywhere, but I was giving the benefit of the doubt so went along with it. The tinfoil on my left fingers began to get uncomfortably hot while she removed the old nail polish from my right hand. Instead of using the typical scraper to take off the old gel, she used a dremel..? And nicked me twice with it. She didn't remove all of the old gel but proceeded to paint my nails anyway.
This leads to the actual manicure. It's sloppy. It looks like I did it. Scratch that, I would have done a better job at it. I left with polish on my skin (which usually is cleaned up by all the other nail techs I've ever gone to) and the sides of my nails are... Gloopy for lack of a better word. The color is uneven despite the fact that she did 3 coats of polish. How that happened is beyond me. When she gave the hand massage and lotion part, she managed to skip my fingers entirely (which was really the part of my hand that needed the lotion). I didn't have any cash and apparently they're stuck in the early 2000's where you cannot add tip to your credit purchase. It's a good thing though, she did not deserve a tip of any kind. I only went there instead of my regular place because it was near Total Wine and More and I had to stop there. Lesson learned. I will likely go back today and ask for a refund because it is atrocious. I thought I could live with it but no. If you go for a gel manicure STAY AWAY! Haute Nails in the Kohl's shopping center are cheaper and do a WAY better job.
