| - I first started combing this beast in the late 70's before turning 20 and thought, "yea, this is a good workout", and 30 years later I'm saying, "oh sh&#, this is a killer workout, please save me"!!!
The message here ~ the mountain is a killer, and it demands your respect! When I first approached the mountain (not a peak, or hill...a real mountain!) I was experienced in mountain hiking and climbing, so I probably thought nothing of the dangerous rock cliffs, slippery footing, and the serious amount of strenuous demand it requires of your physical prowess...hell, I was 20!
The trail has been through it's evolution, with added handrails, concrete steps and AREA CLOSED signage strewed throughout the park, and for good reason. Respect her, and she'll continue to provide a great cardio workout and spectacular views of the valley! A side note to the homes and the residents who live on the mountain...they knew what they were buying, when they moved there.
