So I was over at NoDa brewing and decided to leave but one of the people I was talking with told me I needed to stop at Birdsong since I was so close. So off I went.
The tasting room is not very big. A couple of larger tables and about 6 bar tables and then the bar with about 12 stools. There was nothing to the decor except a few shirts displayed on one of the walls. There was a smallish chalkboard with the flavors of the day and costs for each item.
I sat at one of the bar tables because there was no room at the bar. I started with a Flight for $6 so I could sample all the beers. The IPA was really good and the brown ale was good and I typically don't care for brown ales. The jalepeno beer smelled good and had a decent flavor but it's not something I could drink a lot of. It was great for a taste. And their American Ale was ok. It really didn't do anything for me.
It is great to see all the breweries popping up in Charlotte and Its nice to see this one and NoDa compliment each other.
