| - I'll start by saying I only attended one class, but was put off enough by my overall experience to have no interest in returning. To start with the pros: The place is gigantic. If you're looking for a variety of fitness options, this might be the place for you. If you're looking for help with anything while you're working out, this might be the place for you. Also the warm-up for the one kickboxing class I did was good. Cons: Money sharks, hounding you for a contract the second you walk in the door even if you've got the 7-day pass. They'll offer you a considerably better rate if you sign up on your very first day. I had a really awful experience being paired with a rude, condescending girl in class, but tried not to let that colour my experience. There were hardly any kicks. The instructor was playing on his cell phone, the class pace was slow and there was too much standing and staring, not enough moving. The handpads smelled awful. I don't think they're cleaned between classes. Really gross. The person bugging me for a contract kept saying "you can use this whole facility and go to all these other drop-in classes!" and I kept repeating myself, saying "I don't need the gym because I have one in my building at home" and "I'm not interested in zumba or spinning." Bottom line: Didn't want to sign up for 15 months after that disappointing experience, and I can't afford more than they offered for my first-day special rate, so I'm not going back.
