I thought I'd finally found my nail salon, but 3 weeks out I sadly admit I must keep looking. Kim is the owner and very sweet, attentive. She does acrylic nails the 'old way', meaning she files by hand NOT machine. I had no real issue with that. I was the only one in the shop on a Thursday mid-afternoon. The shop is immaculately clean...VERY IMPORTANT to me. She did use the same utensils on me out of a drawer, but I have no problem asking for new and paying for them or bringing my own. I left happy and with a beautiful set of acrylic nails. Five days out, I noticed a nail lifting at the cuticle. I called and she gave me immediate spot to 'repair'. On day 12 I had 4 more nails 'lifting' at the cuticles...where she wasn't able to hand file close enough to the cuticles to keep the level as they grew out. Before I could call her I caught one of the lifting nails in my hair, while running my hand through it, and it ripped my real nail back to where it lifted off my nail bed...OUCH to the 10th degree. I'm NOT going back...I can do this badly on my own.
