Urban Nails has been my go-to for bio gels for the last 6 months or so. The staff is great and always friendly, although admittedly some are better than others when it comes to manicures. Both Tom and Sandy do an amazing job at perfectly shaping my nails and keeping my gels thin so they don't look clunky and fake.
I'm really hard on my nails (and -don't judge- sometimes find myself reverting back to my nail biting ways even though I have the gels on) but I can still get a good 2 1/2-3 weeks out of each fill without any broken nails. I've had them done other places where they pop off or snap within a week, but I've never had this issue after getting a fill at Urban Nails.
For a bio gel fill and shellac polish on top I pay $40 which is pretty reasonable. Even my former grungy nail salon in Korea Town charged $35 for the same thing and they were thick, uneven and broke easily.
The atmosphere is great, although I wish they played movies like some nail salons do as it can get a little boring when you're there for an hour. Regardless, I'm always happy with the end result and will definitely keep going back.
As another reviewer mentioned, if you pay cash they don't charge tax. Sketchy? Maybe, but it saves me $5 per visit so I don't really care.
