  • I wanted my first tattoo to be something very specific, an album cover. The album is done in a very 70's vintage style, and I knew translating it might present a challenge because of the fact there was a lot of shading involved. After looking on the good old Yelp for different reviews and suggestions, and I decided on Living Canvas because of how highly reviewed they were. I called them up and they found the image on google and recommended an artist whose style they thought would suit the tattoo. I made an appointment and showed up to get tattooed by Christian Carden. He made the process so easy from the beginning, and I was amazed by how clean and sterile the entire place was. He was cool and friendly and incredibly talented. After 2 hours and 20 minutes, we were done....and it was EXACTLY what I wanted and more. The tattoo has already received several compliments and is healing up wonderfully and right on schedule. I would highly recommend Christian and Living Canvas to anyone looking for a quality tattoo you will be proud to have on you for the rest of your life. I may be going back soon to get another piece on my right ankle to echo this piece (which was on my left).
