I love the Canyon Ranch brand. I have been to this spa 3x and the one in MA for an extended stay. The positive- the Canyon Ranch massage was amazing... great therapist, super relaxing. The negative....I went a bit early to do the whirlpool and maybe the sauna before. The whirlpool area was bordering on gross. Teacups left half drunk...robes and slippers just left there by previous users (they were not in the little rooms around- it was very quiet) AND someone put gum on the wall right over the head of the lady that was next to me. I was grossed out (I didn't tell her). Anyway, I left there to go to the waiting room. I grabbed a magazine and went to the furthest corner to read. That was fine, but the person that was looking for me for my massage never came in the room. You could see I was there, because all the privacy curtains are see-through and the room is not that big AND they knew that I already checked in. I came out and asked a random person what time it was, because it felt late...it was 7 minutes late and they said they called me. I told her I was sitting right in the far corner of the waiting room. That woman was not apologetic, and almost made me feel like it was my fault. Even if I didn't hear her- considering I am paying them big money- having a better attitude was called for. The therapist finally came back- she was lovely- and all was well after that. Sadly, I don't think I will go back to this Canyon Ranch. I have been to a gazillion spas in my lifetime and not clean and kind of junky service doesn't make me want to spend any more money there. There are other spas on the Strip for my next visit.
