| - This place is probably okay for buying gas and/or snack food items that will give you a heart attack. However, I've had an extremely weird experience there after which the owners were real jerks, so I'd be inclined to take my business elsewhere.
To make a long story short, a malfunctioning gasoline pump at this station caused gasoline to splash into both my eyes. To the credit of the dude working there at the time (probably not anymore; this was 2004), he helped me flush my eyes with water and called 911. This saved my vision in my left eye, the doctors told me.
HOWEVER, after this, since it was their blasted pump that caused me to need an ambulance and a few hours of eye-flushing at the hospital, I figured the gas station should pay my hospital bills. They did pay the hospital bill, but not the ambulance. (I'm sorry, was I supposed to drive myself to the hospital with gasoline corroding my eyeballs?) Then the owners tried to wiggle out of paying. It took over a month to resolve it and I had to keep calling while they dodged my calls. It took me literally going to the gas station with my paperwork and refusing to leave until I spoke to someone who could resolve the issue to get it worked out.
Anyhow, I may be a grudge-holder but when someone tries to shaft me money, I tend to leave with the opinion that pretty much any other gas station with working pumps and less-sketchy ownership would be a better place to fill up.
