  • My mom and I wanted to try this place since we don't have a Marie Callender's back in Hawaii (nor have we ever heard of a Marie Callender's restaurant). We walked in for a brunch meal and it was pretty empty except for two other tables. Service was extremely, extremely, slow. Mistakes were made to our orders and we were charged for items we did not order. The mistakes were a result of a lack of attention on the part of our server, as we had repeated ourselves multiple times. The employees acted as though they were on something, talking too loudly with colorful language that is not appropriate in a restaurant with body language that seems way too odd. My mom ordered eggs benedict (eggs poached hard as she does not like runny eggs) and I ordered the Loaded Veggie Omelet (minus mushrooms). My mom explicitly told our server that the eggs could not be runny at all and the server acknowledged that by asking if "poached hard" was how she liked it. She got her eggs benedict and it was extremely runny. My mom asked if they could simply put it in the microwave to make the eggs hard instead of re-cooking a new pair of eggs. I watched as she gave the plate to the chef who then looked so angry that my mom asked for the eggs to be hard. She comes back later and my mom asked if he put it in the microwave and she said, he just put more sauce on top. What? How is putting more sauce on the eggs supposed to make the egg completely hard? My veggie omelette, on the other hand, had no similar cooking flaws but was overloaded with too much cheese and way too salty. Not exactly what I'd call tasty. To end the meal, we ordered three muffins, two banana nut and one chocolate, but our server said "how about two chocolate and one banana nut" and we were like...okay because she said there was some kind of deal or something. Turns out, she gave us 4 muffins instead of 3 and charged us for all of them (what happened to whatever deal she was talking about?) but we didn't notice that until after we got home to eat the muffins we got. This place was a wrecking ball from the start and we won't be coming back. Customer service was lacking in all aspects imaginable and the food wasn't tasty either.
