| - If you want an updo, do not go to Carsten! I had, by far, the worst hairstyling experience of my life.
I came in at 3:15 and needed to leave by 4:15 so that I could make it in time for a wedding. The stylist couldn't even hold a curling iron, let alone USE the curling iron. When they finally brought an instructor, "Miss CiCi" over, she began adding the most heinous all over the place kinky curls to one side of my head, partially burning the other guy's hand and causing him to jump while my hair was in his curling iron, pulling my hair.
Then, she proceeded to backcomb the top of my head into a disgusting nest and actually started pinning this thing down. To make matters worse, I am blonde and she was using black bobbi pins, despite my mentioning that there were clearly lighter colored bobbi pins available on the table. It was at that point, at 4:05 when I got out of my chair with a huge rats nest on my head, shoddily pinned up, with half of my head curled (and not even curled well, I might add). Mind you, the nest is the only part with any hair spray. The half-curled portions are falling out and I look like a 5 year old just played with my hair for an hour...Needless to say, I was late for the wedding and had to fix my own hair in 10 minutes!!!! I was furious and stressed out beyond belief.
Someone explain to me how I didn't go to cosmetology school but I can curl my hair (WELL) in 20 minutes?! Why would it take an hour for 2 people to get my hair to look worse than it did when I walked in!? I should have taken a photo. If you can't even use a curling iron or backcomb, HAIRSTYLING 101, get into another business.
