  • We had a king room and it was on the older side but comfortable and clean (older decor rooms are not unusual in Vegas especially hotels offering low room rates) This hotel/casino is considered to be a "locals" place. It is not in a very good section of North Las Vegas and is not near the strip (about a 20/30 minute car ride). The casino is big and has a pleasant feel. I felt they had a great mix of games. Unfortunately the employees that we encountered throughout this property (in under 24 hours)were not happy employees. They don't want to be there and are very unhappy with bad attitudes. For instance; - we stopped at one of the casino floor bars and the bartender was so miserable and it was so evident he was angry. I was taken back and really just wanted to move on but we ordered drinks and he slammed them in front of us and loudly complained about the things bothering him especially the TV that wasn't working. We left and went to another casino bar and found another miserable bartender.They both did their job but they were clearly miserable employees but that seems to be the theme here all except the lady who checked us in but she too could not smile. - Went to the cafe and waited 20 minutes and no one acknowledged us and was ready to leave until a lady said she couldn't take us waiting another minute and took our order. (I believe she was the beverage server). -No cocktail service by the food court casino area. People were annoyed. Finally one comes by but you had to see her and flag her down because she wasn't stopping. She took our order and we waited over 20 more minutes for her to get back. - One slot machine was beeping for so long and loud needing paper that we could not take the noise anymore so we left the area twice. This happened 3 times and the third time one lazy slow miserable sad faced slot attendant asked 'US' which machine it was making the noise LOL!! - We did not have a do not disturb sign for our room so we asked the cleaning lady. She said it's behind the door, we said no its not there so she angrily gave us one. -Checkout is at 12PM and we had someone pounding on our door at 11:45. I can only imagine the poor service you will get during the week because this was on a Saturday (and it wasn't crowded, gee I wonder why). So sad because I really liked the casino. Low employee moral is a sign of poor management and/or company troubles to come. Too much competition wanting my business.... I will never return.
