  • Met up with John to have my wheel repaired, I'd gotten about a relatively small 2" curb rash and two small chips on the outside edge of one of my dark grey wheels. He did a great job and for less than half of what it would have cost for a new wheel. Happy to recommend Fresh Wheels to anyone who is in the unfortunate position of having curbed or damaged the finish on your wheels! *UPDATE* I had the wheels taken off the car recently, and being able to take a closer look in better lighting reveals some slightly disappointing results. You can see pretty clearly where the repair was done as the paint match wasn't as good as I initially thought it was (likely due to the lack of quality lighting in the garage where the work was performed), and if you're close enough you can see a distinct line. Now, if you're 5 feet or more away from the car, probably not so much...but I detail my vehicles by hand so I get close enough to tell. There is also a weird light (almost white) discoloration, though relatively minimal, where the wheel had been covered with tape. Not sure if that was a result of overspray or some cleaner/primer/clear (???) that got under the tape? Either way, I feel like a 4 is a more accurate review upon further inspection. I would still recommend the service, especially if you're returning a leased vehicle or you're not totally obsessed with your car but you also don't want blatant curb rash on your wheels. If you're as particular as I am about your vehicle(s) and don't settle for anything but perfection, you might be better off just buying a new OEM replacement wheel. If I were to have this type of work done again, I would be more picky about the color match and blend, personally.
