rev:text	Let's start by saying that I know my Marriott properties. I'm a gold for life member and have stayed over 600 nights in Marriott's all over the US, and a few abroad. I'm loyal to Marriott because of their dedication to making sure their guests are comfortable and happy. This Marriott property does not live up to the brand name. Of all the Marriott's I've stayed in, I've only had complaints about 2. This is one of them. My wife and I had a very late night and were looking forward to a lazy Sunday with a slow start. When I booked the room, I requested late check-out and was told I had until 4:00PM. Normal check out at this hotel is posted on the door as 12:00PM. With the Do No Disturb sign hung on the door, housekeeping knocked loudly at 10:30 AM. This did so again at 11:30 AM. Just a few minutes later the front desk called to ask if I needed more time in the room. This was still 30 minutes before regular check out. If I had known they wanted me to leave so badly, I would have stayed elsewhere. A side note was breakfast, which was scheduled to be done at 10:00 AM. The room was full of people eating breakfast at this time and 6 or so were at the buffet filling their plates. The 2 staff starting waiting with their cart at about 2 minutes before 10AM. As soon as it was 10, they swept in and removed the food as quickly as possible, even from people who where reaching for it. I was close enough to hear them giggle as they walked away, saying 'I guess they'll just have to go to McDonalds'. They actually enjoyed taking food away from people just before they grabbed it. There was a lady pouring orange juice and they switched off the machine when her cup was half full. Stay elsewhere in Southside. The people at this property are borderline mean.
