This trail/hike is probably one of the most funniest craziest dirtiest I have ever done in Nevada. Take exit 2 Hoover Dam not exit 2 in Arizona! Bring water, and wear the proper shoes. Or else you'll start sliding down every boulder you come across that has no ropes to go down.
Beginning of the trail was easy. I called it the Durrito Munch Path because every step you make sounded like you were eating Durritos. It was an easy 1 1/2 mile walk IN THE BEGINNING. Going back was the worst.
As you start to hit the big boulders, you'll see ropes to help you get down them. The first one seemed pretty hard to do if you didnt wear the proper shoes. But I learned to trust those ropes. Pull them down with your weight as you go down. And find the slips on the rocks for you to place your shoe.
I believe you encounter about 5-7 ropes. The last two are the hardest ones because the rope is wet and so are the rocks. Made it even more slippery. Shout out to the guy who held my hand for this one and carried me down. Lol! You start to hit bigger boulders. One of them moves so be careful which boulder you step/stand on.
After 3-4 ropes, you'll start seeing mini hot springs. Dip inside if you want. I used it to wash and warm my hands up from the cold.
Continue passing the big boulders and you'll have to start walking through the hot springs (yes your shoes will get wet) and you'll see how dope the end of the trail is.
Going back up seemed to be the hiking part. I felt like i enjoyed it more than going down. I didn't think I had good upper body strength until I started climbing up those boulders like a pro. Haha. Trust those ropes on the way back and be careful where you place your foot on the wet rocks.
Tips: Follow the black, blue or yellow arrows. They show you the safest way to get down the boulders or back up.
If you didn't bring much water or snacks, you'll encounter this stand where people leave water bottles and food. It's about 2 miles in.
