| - The World's Tallest Ferris Wheel. 550 feet high. How can you not go on it? You can have a full bar in there too!
My initial reaction when I first heard the suggestion to do this, I was a bit skeptical because you're just sitting in a pod going slowly, drinking, and look at panoramic views of Las Vegas. It didn't seem to exciting to me. After a number of days, we decided to it one afternoon, and you know what? I was excited for it!
We did the $37 Happy Half Hour with the free open bar. As we were walking in, it felt like I was walking through the line to go on a ride at Disneyland, perhaps Space Mountain! When we reached outside, it wasn't busy at all. There was an engaged couple in front of us, and that was it. But we waited and watched pod after pod after pod go by. I suppose we were just waiting for the pod with the open bar inside. After around 20 minutes, we were able to hop on. Be careful though because the wheel doesn't stop, but it's slow enough that you shouldn't have a problem. Maybe when you get off after a few drinks. :)
The pod is pretty big, and can probably comfortably fit ten people with the portable bar inside, and uncomfortably twenty. The bar has your bare essentials, so don't expect any expensive stuff. Our bartender was super cool and very friendly, and made our time very enjoyable.
The only downer was the annoying guy speaking on the screen. "Oh, you're at 420 feet right now. You know what that means! .......You're high!" Haha, laaaaame.
Overall, it was a great experience. You are able to sit and relax out of the desert heat inside a cool air conditioned pod for 30 minutes with free drinks while you enjoy a magnificent 360-degree view of Las Vegas. I had a great time with my close friends and the couple that was with us was super cool. Shots all around! :) At only $37, it's a great deal with the free open bar. 4-5 drinks will definitely cost you over $40 elsewhere, and you don't get to ride the World Tallest Ferris Wheel.
I'm definitely coming here next time I visit, and try the nighttime views.
